Brief Description:  Forward Side Skins

Drilled forward side skins. Drilled arm rests, after fluting to match curve of side of plane. Deburred and dimpled them, ready to prime. Removed left side skin, and formed curve in aft lower end to match fuselage. Van's method worked pretty good, I just heated the skin up a little with a small butane torch to make it bend a little easier. Made and attached corner rib attachment strips, with small modifcation to the forward strip to get around a rivet I had put in. Drilled another rivet hole to attach strip, and dimpled all four holes for the strips. Made the right side strip while I was at it. Match drilled baggage ribs to aft fuselage bulkhead. Trimmed both longerons so that 3/4 of an inch of skin sticks out beyond the longeron. Reattached left side skin, and drilled the side step attachment hole with the hole cutter. Took off right skin, and clamped it in position to bend side curve. Finally, took out a little twist in the right longeron as I had previously twisted slightly too much. Other than that, the longerons turned out amazingly well, considering the "hammer em til they're right" method.
