Brief Description:  Longerons

Had a great time today attempting to bend the longerons. First tried the soft vise covers to hold the longeron, but it seemed to give too much, and after one time through, inch by inch, the longeron hadn't moved. Then used a couple of blocks of wood, and that worked better, but occasionally the wood would slip and the longeron edge would get a mark on it from the vise. I'll have to buff those out when I finally get this sucker into shape. I had enough of that after about 3 hours. Before that, I had cut the longerons to length, at least roughly. I didn't cut the cut outs at the end, until I know what I'm looking at a little better. Went on the web later, and discovered that this longeron bending is tough, and just to stick with it. But, because of the blister on my hammerin hand, I resorted to having fun. I cleco'd the assembly together, with the exception of putting on the tail cone and 710 bulkhead. I'll mess with that tomorrow. But for now, it's looking pretty cool. I cut the J stiffeners roughly to length, and will fine tune those tomorrow as well.
