Brief Description: Back-Riveted Stiffeners to Skins
Today I back-riveted the stiffeners on the skins using a back-riveting plate that I installed in my work bench using a router. I layed the skins out using thin boards underneath to keep them up off the bench while I inserted rivets in all of the stiffener holes. Then I held them in place using rivet tape and flipped the skin over and went to work making sure the stiffener flanges were in the correct position for the skin I was working on. Back-riveting is super easy and the rivets turn out looking great.
