After cutting the end off of the top wedge piece and notching out the bottom piece so the dimples wouldn't get flattened out, I put double sided tape on the outside top and bottom of the left elevator. Then some on the bottom of the wedge that sits inside and clamped it all down using two big c-clamps. Just like the trim tab the bottom ear got bent first then the top. It's done this way so when it rains water runs off the top fold and nothing gets inside where the two sides come together. I did everything like the plans say to do it and I didn't rush things. I can't tell you how happy I am with these results and that this part is now behind me. Onward and upward.
