Brief Description: Priming Vertical Stabilizer & Right HS
First thing I did today was scrub down all the right horizontal stabilizer and vertical stabilizer parts with prekote using the maroon #7447 Scotch-Brite pads. I wanted to keep things simple and non toxic thats why I chose to use Prekote. No need for a respirator while working with this stuff, just some rubber gloves and goggles. You start by spraying the prekote on and then scrubbing it into a lather then spray more prekote on top of that and then scrub some more and finally rinsing with water after your sure you didn't miss anything. After everything was dry it was time to mix some AKZO and get down to business. I used my HVLP touch-up sprayer from Harbour Freight and everything came out looking pretty good. I didn't get any pictures of me prekoting or painting but here are some pics of the finished product.
