Time to start working on the Helicycle again. Next is installing latches on the half doors. Watched the video a few times to familiarize myself with the process and started bending the striker pates for the 3 latches. Bought a1" wide 28/1000" stainless steel strip and cut 2" sections. Bend the plates over a 3/8"aluminum bar which matched the curvature of the door frame. The one for theupper and lower latch are simple. The one for the forward latch takes a little more work and I had to make a simple die using a belt sander and a router. My first attempt for the front striker plate was a throw-away, because I bent it the wrong way.
