Needed to determine the helicycle weight and also determine the Center of Gravity. The Helicycle was lifted off the ground by the rototshaft using a hang scale. Rotor hub and blades were weighted seperately.
Helicycle without rotor hub and blades. Empty fuel tanks and 2 quarts of oil in turbine: 503.8 lbs rotor blades 48.4 lbs rotor hub 25.8 lbs ------------------- Total weight 578.0 lbs
The required CG is defined by Eagle R&D to be 3-3.5 degree forward position of rotorshaft with pilot seated in ship.
I reach a 3 degree forward position with me sitting in the pilot seat and a 5 lbs weight is positioned at my right foot.
