Brief Description:  drilling drag link brackets

Drillng holes into the rotor blades is a process which should not be screwed up. Blades are very expensive!
I decided to take a slow aproach to it.I started out using smalled diameter bolds initially to secure the brackets in the desired position. his would allow me later to compemsate any small errors when going to the final 5/16"bolts.Holding the bracket in plave with clamps, I started out with drilling small holes through the predrilled brackets. After securing the brackets with 2 small bolts securely in place and once more checking everything, I proceded drilling and reaming the 5/16' holes. Then I took one of the 2 remaining smaller bolts out and enlarged the hole to 5/16", installed the bold and did the last hole. This was a pretty controlled process and everything went as expected.
The only thing left o do is to either make a chamfered washer, or use and endmill to align the bolt heads and nuts with the slant surface of the brackets. I do not like cutting into the bracket not to weaken them. I decided i will check at the next Helicyle gathering how everybody else did this. BJ does not address this point in hs video and i wonder if any helicycles are flying around with the bolt head hiting the brackets in an angle?
