The next step was to cust the 3/8" elngated hole into the scissors. I wanted to have them perfectly alligned and did a few trial runs with some scap material and a 3/8" end mill cutter installed n my lathe chuck. This worked great, but when I cut the scissors they moved a bit on the lathe carridgeand the hole was not to print. Bummer! For now I just use it and will make a new pair of scissors next month when I have access to my Bridgeport milling machine, where I have much better control.
