Prepared to connect battery for the first time and discovered that the 6AWG ground cable was two inches short of reaching the negative battery terminal. Fabricated short 2AWG cable link, connected it to the battery and connected the long and short 6AWG cables to the 2AWG cable. Pulled all circuit breakers, made sure all switches were off, took a deep breath, said a prayer and connected the positive cable to the battery.
