Brief Description: Pt. 3 - Hinge Pin Modifications pt. 1
Did research and decided on how to configure flap hinges for removal and reassembly. Removed flaps and hinges, cut off three hinge loops near the center of each hinge (two on flap side and one on wing side) and filed gaps smooth. After careful measuring of hinges, hinge gaps and pin lengths, cut hinge pins into two uneven lengths: 33.5" for inboard pins and 27. 5" for outboard pins. Began fabrication of hinge pin retainers by cutting four hinge sections approximately 4.5" long with loop in center. Drilled three holes for rivets and mounting screws. Rounded, deburred and primed backside of each piece.
