Realized that because the flap hinges were attached to the bottom skins with the same #40 rivet rows as the flap braces, the flap braces should have countersunk instead of dimpling. To correct this error, the underside of the dimpled surfaces of the flap braces needed to be smoothed so that the hinge flange would rest flat against it. Fabricated a wooden jig for the flap braces and attached them with clecos. Carefully ground down the backside of the dimples using a dremel grinder and flat files, and smoothed with scotch brite pad.
