Brief Description: Flap Brace and Aileron Fairing Work pt. 1
Trimmed the hatched area from W-721 flap braces. Fit bottom wing skins and match-drilled #40 holes for flap braces and W-724 aileron fairings. Clecoed flap braces to rear spar and discovered undrilled hole in each wing stiffener rib behind QB-assembled rear spars, W-707G reinforcement forks and W-707D doubler plate. Called Van's and inquired; it's a common problem and ok to drill through. Match-drilled #30 holes for aileron fairings and flap braces. Countersunk 3 holes in each doubler plate. Deburr and dimple all #40 holes in flap braces and aileron fairings.
