Checked hinge pin access; contrary to plans, hinge pin will need to be inserted from the forward end. Pin can be completely inserted with baggage door opened; tucked down and retained with door closed. Removed door and painted fuselage side hinge. When paint dried, riveted hinge to fuselage. Reinstalled door with hinge pin and checked everything for proper fit and function. A retaining bar to hold baggage door open will need to be fabricated.
