Removed backboards from fuselage and clean up wood chaff. Cleaned, lubricated and bolted idler arms onto brackets with correct length bolts. Connected rudder cables to idler arms with thin washers in place and secured all castle nuts with cotter pins. Removed rudder pedals from fuselage; placed in jig and installed elbows for brake hoses and reservoir hoses. Researched required torque values for steel braided brake hoses. Called Van's Builder Support to double check; brass elbow fittings were supplanted with push-lock fittings. Attached F-8105 brake hoses to AN822-4D elbows in bottom of master cylinders; torqued and sealed. Reinstalled rudder assembly in fuselage with lock nuts torqued and sealed. Attached brake hoses to center bulkhead fittings; torqued to spec. Cut reservoir lines and push-locked into master cylinder fittings. Installed adel clamps around brake hose upper ends and bolted together.
