Worked on installing rudder cable idler arms. Finish-drilled all holes in F-8008-L/R idler arm brackets and top holes of WD-830-PC idler arms. Filed ends of bolt tubes on bottom of idler arms to fit within brackets. Removed nuts and bolts from base of aft side of each gear tower for bracket installation. Bolted each bracket in place using existing outer holes and mark back side of each bracket for matching inner holes by spinning short bit through existing holes in landing gear weldment. Remove brackets and drill second mounting holes; deburr. Bolt both brackets to aft side bottom of gear towers; torque to spec and mark with torque seal. Discovered that the AN4-25 bolts ordered from Van's were not drilled for cotter pins. Tried to drill myself; 5/32" bit broke off in bolt. Ordered new drilled bolts and spare nuts from Aircraft Spruce. Test-assembled idler arms to brackets and cables with available hardware.
