Brief Description:  Rudder Assembly, pt. 1

Riveted rudder brace to rudder horn, spar and bottom rib using flange yoke. Test-fit skin and R-716 rudder bottom attach strips to skeleton. Found one missing dimple in skin hole and dimpled it. Dimpled top rib mounting holes for E-614-020 counterweight. Removed skin and rudder bottom attach strips and dabbed RTV on aft end of stiffeners to link them and damp vibration. Reassembled skeleton, skin and rudder bottom attach strips with clecoes. Riveted skin to spar, ribs, rudder bottom attach strips, counterbalance skin and rudder horn brace. Used care to follow correct rivet call-outs depending on section being assembled, and used special yokes when needed. Enlarged holes and nstalled blind rivets in four places: two at the bottom forward end of the skin, bottom rib and rudder brace on both sides, and at the trailing end of the bottom rib on either side.
