Set up drill press to drill straight level hole in canopy latch handle. Drilled 5/64 pilot hole into handle for assembly screw. Used hole in handle to mark latch tube for match drilling. Drilled level straight hole halfway through tube. Used pilot hole in handle to align parts with bit; continued match drilling through tube. Upsized to #30 bit and match drilled hole through both parts. Drilled shallow half of holes to 11/64 to clear screw shank.
