Brief Description: Empennage - 07 - More Fiberglass Work
Trimmed and fit the horizontal stabilizer fiberglass tips. I still need to make the aluminum reinforcement strips, drill the attachment holes, countersink and dimple the holes and glass in the foam end rib.
Trimmed and fit the elevator fiberglass tips. I still need to make the aluminum reinforcement strips, drill the attachment holes, countersink and dimple the holes. There was a considerable gap around the CB weight and tip. I may need to epoxy in some foam to fill the gap.
I still need to trim the Rudder's bottom fiberglass tip. Then after attaching the tips with pop rivets, I'll have to filet the gaps and fill the pin holes.
Trimmed the Left and Right HS tip with a Dremel cut-off wheel.
Marking the elevator tips for trimming to clear the CB weights.
HS and Elevator tips just set in place to check for clearance.
