Brief Description: work on engine throttle controls
Deburr VA-00276 throttle spring holder
Manual 50-02 steps 1- 5, remove right and left carb throttle arms, remove springs, add VA-00276 and new springs. When tightening the nut on the left throttle shaft replacing the throttle armI tiredto torque the nut but stripped the shaft. Oh s***. I told Gary at Vans support that I was unable to find the torque required in the Rotax manual as the KAI requested. He sid he has built three RV's and doesn't even own a torque wrench. luckily the shaft is long enough to add washers and install the nut okay. So I did this and did not torque the nut, just tightened it and applied Loctite 242 per his suggestion plus torque seal.
Step 6 connect cable conduits and tighten, step 7 connect cable hardware right. Left has incorrect nut because I was missing one so ordered MS21045-3 from Vans as needed.
