Brief Description:  Rudder assembly

Did all the main assembly on the rudder today. Attached the nutplates to the main spar, riveted the counterbalance assembly together, riveted the skins to the spar and ribs, and assebled the rudder horn components. Finished up by installing the counterweight. Since the counterweight will be hidden by the fiberglass tip and un-inspectable, I epoxied the lead weight and the bolts in as well for a little peace of mind.

Most all of the rivets are easily reached and can be hand (or pnuematically) squeezed.

Since the weight and it's securing bolts will be essentially un-inspectable, I epoxied them in too.
