Started on the rudder today. Trimmed all 16 stiffeners to size and final shaped them with the belt sander and scotchbrite wheel. Clecoed the stiffners to the skins, drilled them out, deburred and dimpled all the stiffeners. Performed the less-than-fun task of prepping the parts for primering, and indeed, got them all primered. Evening time found us at the abandoned EAA hangar where we dimpled the skins, then Matt taped in all the rivets while I performed the noisy back riveting. 232 rivets in about an hour--everyone of them a beauty. It is so efficient having a capable partner.
