Brief Description: While cat away, mouse will paint!
Not waiting for spring to prime-paint. Temps not getting warm enough to for paint to cure correctly without a lot of additional heat. Wife is away visiting daughter and grandchildren. Once parts are dry to touch, bringing them in the house to fully cure.
Not happy with the PPG ALK-200 durability and resistance to chipping. Sandblasted a scrap piece of 4130. Primed with PF EP-420 Epoxy primer on one side. While primer still tacky, sprayed both sides of test piece with PPG ALK-200 Matte Black. Will allow to fully cure and then do a scratch test to see if more resistant to chipping.
