Was able to get my wing attach fittings finished today for the most part. I still want to grind a few more places to get them smoother but all the holes are drilled. I started the process using a plate of 4130n that was .190 thick. I cut and glued 4 of the full scale drawings onto the plate. I cut the fittings out using a Harbor freight vertical/horizontal bandsaw using the speed of about 80 RPM's and a 10/14 bimetal lenox band saw blade. I used tap fluid as I cut to ease the process. Cutting out 4 of these fittings has taken quite a few hours. After getting them rough cut I ground down the edges on a bench grinder down to the line on the template. Then I center punched the center of strut attach hole and drilled each of the 4 fittings indepently. I then used this hole to cleco two pieces togther and match drill the remaining holes to make a set. Repeated for the other set.
