Brief Description: 2nd Rear spar construction and attach fittings
Started drilling the aft cap strips today on the 2nd rear spar. Got the lower cap strip drilled completely and started on the top one but my arm was hurting from so much drilling. Decided to work on something else for a little while so I started on the splice plate for the 2nd spar. I was able to complete the splice plates and drill them into place before I finished for the day. Zachary decided he is going to make the wing attach fittings since he is having fun with something he can do. He was very proud of his rough cut attach fitting and says he is going to do all 4 of them. Nothing like letting him do one of the most important pieces of the place. I am of the opinion now that even if I never am able to complete the plane as long as my two sons learn fabrication from this process I am at peace.
