Brief Description:  Riveting my first spar

Decided to get a spar rivetted tonight. Was really just trying to get mentally ready for a while as this was my first riveting. I used some spare material and did 5 rivets for a test. I used this test time to decide what air pressure I would need. I decided to use my snap on air chisel as I did not want to spend the money for a tool that did the exact same job but was branded as a rivet gun. I put an air regulator on the gun and dial in 60psi with the trigger pulled for the number 5 rivets. I set the rivets in sets of 5 at a time alternating to each end to do another set of 5 rivets. At no time did the rivets tighten up as if the caps was moving around. I ended up switching from clecos to screws and nuts at each location where a rib goes. The clecos were not holding as tight with the vibration of the air gun. I ended up with a few rivets that I did not like the looks of that I plan on drilling out tomorrow. All of my shop ends turned out great. Only the factory heads were deformed when I let the gun slip off the head.
