I thought I was having a good day when I started. After a birthday weekend for my son I was finally able to get back to working on the plane. I started making the aileron pocket ribs and was making good time. Had the blanks cut out before I knew it and was starting to bend. Bent 4 of them before I noticed the aluminum was cracking because the bending jig was to far back behind the relief cut. Also I went in to far with the bandsaw and squared off the cuts, Not sure if that will cause a problem but it does not look good and knowbody elses that I have seen are done this way so I have to think it is not correct. after this failure I just quit. My heart was broke and I needed to step away. I hope to fix this mistake and make 16 new blanks Monday.
