Brief Description:  Center rib Lightening hole flanging

Got all 14 .025 material center ribs lightening holes flanged but not without issues. I am going to do the oblong hole by hand using the dreaded bob stick. The problem I ran into is that with MDF is to soft for the large hole and the aluminum would dig in like a chinese finger cuff. The harder you tryed to get it out the more it dug into the MDF and held on. This was the first I tried MDF for this and others say they have great success with it but I keep going back to good ole fashion OAK. Made the plugs out of oak and all is better. The aluminum does not even try to dig into it. Still for only 2 hours we got a lot done. Zachary helped me about half the night until momma yelled that it was time to get ready for bed. Be glad when it is summer and both boys can stay out later with me at night. Also started to flange the lightening holes of the tip ribs but immediately discovered a problem that I should have caught long ago. The hole next to the oblong hole in the center of the tip rib is way to small and I am afraid it may be off center. PLan to investigate more tonight on this issue.
