Brief Description: Leading Edge and Outboard Fairing Blocks
The Port Outboard Fairing block was shaped on the inside to leave about 1/2" to 1" of foam. This one was slightly easier to shape the foam since it had less micro attaching the different blocks. Once the foam was shaped, the inside was micro'd and two layers of BID were layed up in sections. Two small 6"x6" was placed in the "corner" of the volume. Then two BID were layed up on the floor and two on the ceiling in such a way thet they overlaped. The edge was reinforced with a thrird 2" tape of BID.
