Brief Description: Forming Top Skin Core Rib Flanges (T-Hats)
The inside of the top skin was taped where the T-Hats were going to be and at least 1-2 inches further to avoid any epoxy from contacting the top skin and to provide release from the taps when the top is removed.
The top skin was placed back onto the ribs carefully placing it in the correct location. The top skin was then clamped down to hold it in place. Peel ply was placed on top of all of the ribs and baffles to provide a good surface to the top of the T-Hat when removed. The T-Hat outside of R-57 and the center section spar and the T-Hats in the rear tank compartment adjacent to R57 was layed up.
