After cure, I attached the gas springs. I drilled out the pilot side of the canopy and bolted the ball joint into the canopy. With both gas springs, it will raise by itself after the canopy has risen about 3 inches at my shoulder. It doesn't have all of the required lift. Stronger gas springs will be purchased to replace these.
