07/02/2012 I cut out the EM-2 hard points for the inside of the engine mount. I sanded them to shape. Not installed yet. 07/03/2012 All of the areas that will receive BID tapes to the center spar were sanded down. The EM-2 hard points were floxed in place and held in place with 1 BID. It was peel plyed. 07/04/2012 The Center spar was trial fitted. The LWX and the top of the forward landing bulkhead and the fuselage sidehad to be sanded to fit and allow a good fit for the center spar. 07/05/2012 I continued fitting the spar, it is not level side to side yet. 07/06/2012 It is done. The wing center spar is floxed into the fuselage. Nancy and I checked the level side to side, twist on the wood bondo'd to the spar, and the distance to the nose from each tip. Everything is dead on… now. I'll check again tomorrow. 07/07/2012 The spar dimensions were checked and found to be OK. The level was off about 0.05° but that is not visible on a bubble level. I sanded down all of the outside flox to prepare for the BID layups. I started sanding on the inside flox. I cut some of the fibe 08/05/2012 Nancy and I layed up the right bottom inside the fuselage to the LXY and to the right landing gear bulkhead. 08/18/2012 Kenneth and I layed up the left bottom inside of the fuselage to the LXY and to the left landing gear bulkhead. 08/19/2012 Nancy and I layed up 2 BID to the bottom of the spar to the outside of the bottom firewall. Another 2 BID was layed up to the bottom of the spar to the inside of the bottom firewall. The last layup was 2 BID on the outside of the spar to the outside of th 08/20/2012 An Oaf Story. The outside 2 BID layer did not stick to the center spar. When I pulled the peel ply, the fiberglass came with it ! I have taken all of the top section over the center spar off. It appears that someone (who will remain nameless but can only 03/17/2013 I layed up the spar to LWX under the spar on both sides 03/19/2013 I cut the fiberglass for the firwall to spar on the top 03/20/2013 Nancy and I layed up the 3
