08/29/2005 Received the plans to the Cozy Mk IV # 1378
08/30/2005 Study Ch 1,2, and part of 3. Sent question to Canard Zone Forum about whether AC was necessary in the garage.
08/31/2005 Study Ch 3. One response on the AC said it would only speed up the work time. No Problems. I think I will try without AC.
09/01/2005 Finished reading Ch 4. Scanned through all the chapters
09/04/2005 Started building the jig table. It is made of 5/8" particle board supported by 1x10 boards. There will be 1x10 cross members every 2'. The surface will 4'x12'. The supporting box will be 6" less to allow room for clamps and electrical outlets.
09/05/2005 Finished the top attachment of the table. Cleaning up garage to prepare as workshop
09/07/2005 Started to build and install the legs for the table.
09/08/2005 Finished installing the legs of the jig table.
09/10/2005 Added the bottom ply to table
09/13/2005 Ordered Ch4, 5, 6, & 7 w/ misc supplies
09/28/2005 Received Ch4, 5, 6, & 7 w/ misc supplies. Used new scale to measure epoxy and layed up a 6 ply training layup. It weighed 10.5 ounces vs a good range of 10.5 - 12.5.
09/29/2005 Built a confidence piece to test the strength of a layup on a foam core. Needs 4 days to cure.
10/14/2005 Set up a hotwire control box. Need to test it
11/12/2005 Made a cabinet to hold the fiberglass finally!
01/30/2010 I moved the fuselage, wing spar, and canard out to the new hangar at TP McCampbell. That cleared out the garage a lot!
02/22/2010 I rearranged the garage and cleaned, cleaned and cleaned some more.
03/28/2011 Stephen, Kenneth and I moved all of the equipment, table, work bench, compressor, etc to the hangar.
04/01/2011 Nancy and I attended Sun N Fun to research avionics, engines, accessories, etc.
04/05/2011 I built a stand alone hot box for the epoxy in the hangar.
04/06/2011 I started to attach the fiber glass box to the wall. I only attached wood that I will attach the box to.
04/14/2012 We haved moved to Houston. The plane was moved from the hangar at TP McCampbel
