The spring tube hole was cut out above the bottom hinge. A wooden plug was fahioned out of scrap from the plywood firewall to hold an eye-bolt. This stopper was epoxied into the tube. The tube was then floxed into the winglet. Two layers of BID were layed up over the end of the tube. The hole will be cut out later.
The holes for the NAV light were started but not finished.
A window was opened up in the wing tip near the winglet to give access to the rudder cable conduit.
