I decided to install the lower winglet before I turn the wing over to install the inside layups. Before the lower winglet can be installed the inside bellhorn will be installed. I decided to deviate from the written plans which has the rudder cable exit the outside of the winglet and attach to a bellhorn on the rudder on the exterior. The internal bellhorn is an approved mod that enclosed the bellhorn inside the winglet. I folled the excellent instructions that Wayne Hicks documented on his website. When I cut out the rudder, I will need to check the clearance of the cable thimbles as it enters the wing tip. I suspect that I may have to open that up some. I will open it by enlarging the cavity from the outside. There is not any more room currently on the inside.
