Brief Description:  Engine Cooling Baffling

I started to trace out the baffle templates so that I could make poster board versions before cutting metal. At this same time, I looked on line at several different versions that people had used for baffling and oil coolers. One that intrigued me was Wayne Hicks. His was a very tight air box that isolated the wing roots and the accessory case. I was concerned about isolating the accessory case but the important items such as magnetos and fuel pump could be cooled with blast air tubing. The oil cooler would be installed aft of the fuel servo and forward of the alternator and starter. The air exit for the cooler would be out the rear.

I started to plan this route.
