The dreaded longerons. I was pretty nervous from all the chat on the forums about this piece. The instructions even tell you it is tricky and to be very careful. Essentially you are just bending a piece of 3/4 x 3/4 aluminum angle to the shape of the fuselage. You hold the piece in a vice, push on it a little and then give it a whack with a hammer. Sounds inelegant but it works. The only trouble is the stresses you induce into the angle cause it to bend in directions other than what is intended. I'm finding it isn't really that difficult. Just takes some patience and thinking ahead a little. We'll see how they turn out but I got a good start today.
