03/17/20: 2Hrs 1: F-1294A was drilled #40 at one location using the mark on the AL tape as reference, then that hole was match-drilled into the tailcone. 2: The same was performed as in step 1 except for the BL tape mark. Worked on step 3
03/18/20: 6.5Hrs 3:The stabilator was installed and the fairing assembly was clecoed. 4: The tailcone fairing assembly was adjusted to provide the 1/8" clearance required. 5: Steps 1 and 2 were completed in the same way for the right side of the tailcone. 6: With the 4 previously drilled holes clecoed, the rest of the fairing attach holes were drilled #40. Then the assembly was removed and deburred and re-clecoed. 7: The holes on the fairings were final-drilled #27 8: The stabilator and rudders were moved to confirm at least 1/8" of clearance. The skin on the stabilator had to be trimmed because it was grazing the fairing assembly.
