Today was the third and last day working on the first part of the second training project. Franklin noticed that two of the 470 rivets we placed yesterday were damaged so we had to remove them and rivet again. We created a tool from steel that was on the instructions manual of this training project. We also modified cutters as stated in page 05-04 of the RV manual so we can remove rivets easier.
We placed the second aluminum sheet in the correct position and drilled the second row of #40 holes, we verified that the length from angle to the second sheet was in fact 3 7/8” we dimpled and proceeded to rivet, again with bucking bar, finishing the first part of the project.
