Brief Description: Pages 15-04, 15-05 and 1506 (1st step)

We started the day with step 9 of page 15-04 and completing said page with this. We needed a bigger table to work on because of the width that the wing reaches when both the main and nose ribs are in place so we made one using the sawhorses as support and some scrap wood from the shipping boxes we had in the hangar. We continued with step 1 of page 15-05 but when we got to step 2 that we noticed that we needed a nose rib with two nutplates attached, which we did not have because the manual never told us to place two nutplates in one rib. We checked what it was needed for and came to the conclusion that indeed it was required so we set another nutplate on the nose rib. We completed steps 2 through 5 (15-05) and we had to stop because another nose rib had to have two nutplates as well, but we couldn’t figure out what these nutplates were needed for so we left that one pending and Franklin will contact Van’s about that.
