We worked on page 36A-04 in this section we had to mark the contour of the gear leg opening on the U-00001A and U-00001B of both wheel fairing (left and right) to next trimmed and sanded them. After that we worked on page 36A-05 and did the step 1, drilled the #40 holes in the 4 U-00002 then we did the countersink in the wheel fairing brackets for the rivets. Attached the nutplates and rivets. We could not do the next step, because the piece U-00003 Bracket Mount does not have the correct tap. We tried to do the tap with the information on the Vans Manual where it says that for bolts AN3 the tap is #10-32 but that was not correct so we scraped one piece. We must consult with Van’s about this problem and they said that we have to drill #25 and then used a tap #3/16.
