Brief Description:  Prep Left Horizontal Stabilizer for Assembly

Finalized HS substructure for assembly. Riveted substructure together except HS-707 and HS-708 per plans. Finally drove first publicaly viewable rivets for real! I worried over this all night, but it turned out to be easy with just a little practice. Linda did a great job with the rivet gun, and I did OK with the bucking bar. Left HS Center Nose Rib (HS-706) turned out really well. Only thing I would do differently next time is to shave the nose rib skin dimples with the countersink tool to ensure proper countersink depth and profie. Also, be sure to have the nose rib flanges bent to the proper angle for the skin. Since the HS is tapered toward the tip, the rib flanges will not be square for proper fit. In fact, they should be bent out a little extra for best fit. Pay close attention during initial trial assemblies.
