Brief Description:  Bend Trailing edge for Right Elevator

Used the Van's design brake to bend the trailing edge of the right elevator. I had previously tried a lighter design using composite shelving material with support 2/2s, but it wasn't strong enough. Stick with the 2x6 design called out in Van's plans. At that, I had to add two more hinges to the three initially installed to keep the brake from flexing too much when I bent the trailing edges. I ended up with a few small bumps in the skin at the end of the stiffeners after bending the skin to fit the spars. Based on my experience, I've decided to set the trailing edge farely deeply into the brake and not be too worried about over-bending the trailing edge. Getting a straight line from the main elevator spar to the trailing edge radius is quite a trick. With enough playing around, it can be done...Terry
