Brief Description:  Aileron pushrods are 3/4 inch too long.

Today I resized the aileron pushrod to get it to fit per the plans. I made my aileron pushrods about 3/4 of an inch too long. So, I cut them off and I need to put in new rivets and also order two new male end connectors. I'm sure many builders have made this same mistake. The plans are not completely clear here, consequently, it is very easy to make this mistake, however, the plans do give the overall length for the total pushrod.

If you are an RV builder you read about this mistake in your last RVator magazine. Someone made this very same mistake and didn't have the number 12 rivets to install the male end connection on the pushrod and so he just installed the pushrod in the wing and then forgot to rivet the pushrod after his rivet order came in. Consequently, you have been warned, go on the internet and check how other builders have completed the aileron pushrods prior to your own pushrod construction party. Then go forward slowly and use a check list. Now, where did I put my saw?
