Brief Description:  Finished Vertical Stabilizer

I was able to get alot done today. I first ordered a case of the primer so we'll see how long it takes before it gets here. Shipping stuff to apartments is a hassle especially when you have to be around to sign for it. Finished match drilling the VS-801PP skin and then began dissassembly of the structure. I started deburring all the components and was able to finish that pretty quickly. I set up the DRDT-2 and began dimpling the ribs and spars. There were a few on each of the parts and two on the skin that I ended up have to pull the pneumatic squeezer out for but thats always fun to use. My grandpa called when I was half way down deburring the skin so I finish that while talking to him. Using the dogleg deburr tool while talking on the phone and holding onto the skin was quite a challenge but it was worth it. It took about an hour to finish the last side (inside and out) of the skin but it was a well worth slow down. After I got off the phone with him and started dimpling the skin and knocked it out in no time. After that I set up the grinding wheel and ran a edge finish on all the parts including the skin and the two horizontal stabilizer skins which I had previously forgot to do. All I'll have left to is prep the parts for paint once it arrives. I've decided to hold of on assembly of any of the major components. I'm in absolutely no hurry to get them done and they'll just be sitting around my apartment where they can get damaged. Its alot easier to store clamshellable skins than an entire assembled tail. I also want to spray some more primer on the horizontal stabilizer. I just decided I might as well. Although I have all the intentions to stay in the midwest I never know where I'll end up.
