Located and marked centerline of front and rear spars on Vertical stabilizer. Placed vertical stabilizer in place, in line with horizontal stabilizer and found that the rear spar would not fit at the bottom longerons. Did some checking and found that this is not a new problem. I had to trim part of the rear spar to get it to match the shape of bulkhead five at the bottom. See photo three.
I trimmed the rear spar to match the bulkhead profile so that it would fit between the longerons. I Double checked that the fuselage was still level, and used a laser level to make certain that the Vertical was straight and centered. I then drilled and reamed the holes for the vertical stabilizer and bolted it in place. Again, I probably spent too much time making sure that the Vertical tail was perfectly pependicular to the fuselage.
