Brief Description:  Continue left elevator riveting

Last night, UPS delivered replacement elevator skin, AOA kit, and AP servo kits. Stopped at Kinko's today to get copies of page 21 of section 9 for use as templates. On arrival at hangar, cut out a set of templates and used spray adhesive to glue them to foam blocks so I can cut out the TE ribs.

First order of business was to rivet the tip ribs and counterbalance skin together. Then I riveted the spar doublers, K1000-6, inboard rib, and control horn together. Next, I riveted the elevator rib halves together and then installed the spar assembly and riveted it to the ribs. Using a squeezer, I riveted all the spar/skin rivets except for the inboard and outboard bays. I riveted the gusset to the inboard rib and the rib to the rear spar and then riveted the last of the front spar/skin rivets and the rib/skin rivets. Then I attached the tiip rib and riveted it to the shear clip and front spar. Finally, I riveted the top skin to the spar and tip rib (as far back as the aft spar) and then riveted the bottom skin, using blind rivets for the two unreachable holes.

Rivet count: 319 Total: 2926
