Brief Description: Built rolling cradles for Horizontal Stabilizer
Cut 1' x 3' pieces of pressed board and then used a set of HS nose and inspar ribs to make a template and traced 3/8" around it. Drilled a 3/4" hole at the tip and then used a jig saw to cut the remainder of the tracing away to make 4 cradles for the HS. Myron James showed up to assist and we proceeded to tie each pair of cradles together with 1 x 12 lumber 4' long. The boards were attached with deck screws, squared up, and plywood gussets were attached. Each assembly had a set of 4" wheels screwed to the bottom (using deck screws and washers - no matter if they protrude). One pair of wheels on one cradle has locking mechanism.
