While working in the fuselage yesterday I rested my knee by accident on the access panel for the AHRS and the result is in Image 1. This showed me that the panel needed some stiffening; in use it is not likely to get a concentrated load like that but doing maintenance tasks might lead to a similar situation. So I took some J-stringer and fabricated a new pane with stiffeners. After dimpling and riveting all the new parts, the result looks like the prior panel but it now takes my weight easily.
