Brief Description: prepare copilot door for bonding
With the bonding on the pilot's door done, I removed it from the fuselage and, with Jack Keegan's help, did the initial trim to the scribe line. It looked very good and only one area with a small void which may go away on further trimming. If not, it is easily filled. The shape is terrific and didn't spring back at all on removal from the fuselage. With the clamps and weights freed up, I was able to drill the copilot door into position in preparation for bonding tomorrow morning. One detail I didn't show before was the marking of the rivet locations where the door is clecoed to the fuselage. I don''t have a strap duplicator and so I went with the marking method, which worked much easier than strap duplicators I have used before.
